Welcome to our early singles collection!

Lorde Awesome started as a duo, with childhood friends, Avery Strok (me) and Richard Vainio. We began recording at the very beginning of July, 2008, with a found synthesizer, guitar and some microphones.
Our inspirations were Japanese Noise, Krautrock, Hawkwind, Space 1999, 60's & 70's B-Movies / porn (which was more art than anything else).
We had no musical aspirations, other than to make sounds we liked. We worked with what little we had, and went for the maximum impact.
Our sound was an extreme departure from my solo, more ambient work... music I made in the 10 years prior.

All material here was released between August 11 2008 and August 11, 2009, recorded at my Little Bastard Studio, Toronto, on some Saturday nights.

Volume Two and the beginning of our transitional phase, will follow in the coming weeks, so stay tuned!!
